Challenge

Maintaining product content was slow and inconsistent. Each new listing meant manual edits, formatting problems slipped through, and translations created confusion. At the same time, inventory planning lacked reliable data, making it hard to keep bestsellers in stock.

Results

OmniGraph gave Foodgear a smoother workflow across both content and inventory. Product descriptions that once took 10-20 minutes can now be created in just a few, while every page follows a clear and consistent brand voice. Errors and formatting issues that used to slip through have been eliminated, and inventory decisions are now based on reliable forecasts rather than guesswork. The result is a more professional storefront, fewer stockouts, and valuable time saved for the team.

About Foodgear

Foodgear is a dynamic e-commerce store specializing in culinary tools and accessories, with a strong focus on handcrafted Japanese knives. Founded in 2013 and based in Copenhagen’s Torvehallerne, the shop is run by Therese Fischer and a passionate team dedicated to guiding both professionals and home cooks to the perfect knife.

Through close partnerships with Japan’s leading smithies, Foodgear offers a curated selection rarely found elsewhere, complemented by sharpening services and custom orders that keep quality at the center of everything they do.

 The Challenge

Foodgear’s product content didn’t scale. New items inherited copy-pasted text in different styles, and a faulty HTML table kept resurfacing, hurting the mobile experience. Shopify’s auto-translations even altered brand names. On the inventory side, reorders were manual and based on last time’s numbers, which meant guesswork and stockouts on popular products.

The Solution

Foodgear implemented OmniGraph’s AI-driven platform to standardize product descriptions and bring data into inventory planning. Content now follows one consistent voice, the broken table vanished, and translations stay accurate. For inventory, real-time insights replaced gut feel and gave the team confidence in what to buy and when.

The Results

Product descriptions that took 10–20 minutes now take about 1 minute, at scale. The store looks consistent and professional, errors were removed, and demand estimates helped prevent stockouts (notably on a best-selling knife). The outcome is faster execution, fewer interruptions, and the confidence to grow without losing control.
